in order to和in order that的区别

词组in order to里面的to是动词不定式符号,在使用时to后面接动词原形,就是in order to do,引导目的状语;in order that, that后面要跟句子,而且要是完整的句子,在这里引导的是目的状语从句。

in order to用法和例句

  意思是:为了,以便,表示目的,可以放在句首或者句中,to后面要接动词原形,其否定形式是in order not to(为了不做)。

例句一:He walked around in order to keep warm.——他来回走是为了把持身体暖和。此处to后面跟的是keep,这里的keep就是动词原形。

例句二:In order not to be late,he got up very early.——为了不迟到,他起床很早,这个是in order to的否定运用。in order to和 so that意思一样,可以互换,但是so that后面要跟句子。

例句三:Jim works hard in order to succeed.= Jim works hard in order that he can succeed.——为了能成功,吉姆努力工作。

in order that用法和例句

in order that后面要跟目的状语从句,例句:I study hard in order that I can have a good future.——我努力学习以便能有个美好的未来,That后面就是一个完整的句子。

  in order that和so that意思一样,用法也是一样,that后面都是接句子,两个词组可以替换,区别在于,如果是在句首,就不能用 so that,只能用in order that;逗号之后也不能用so that,只能用in order that。

例句:He got up early this morning so that he could catch the early bus.= He got up early this morning in order that he could catch the early bus.——为了赶上早班车,他今天早上起得很早。
